I have a gym membership and was going 5 days a week, monitoring my diet and the weight was coming off. It hasn't been that long and actually I miss the gym, the main thing is getting my schedule under control and preparing the day before. If I am disciplined with my time, it all falls into place.
I heard a great reminder from Charles Stanley this week: HALT - never let yourself get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired. That' when the enemy loves to attack and we've left ourselves vulnerable. I know I suffer from letting myself get too hungry and tired .
God bless.Wendy Dresserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09373320320456544396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15609151.post-8221326953377342432013-08-23T08:07:48.721-04:002013-08-23T08:07:48.721-04:00Thanks for the verses, I will take note of those. Thanks for the verses, I will take note of those.Wendy Dresserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09373320320456544396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15609151.post-74298310942979210942013-08-22T21:29:45.315-04:002013-08-22T21:29:45.315-04:00That is so awesome you could share your story and ...That is so awesome you could share your story and hear God speak to you about your health. What we do know is that anything he asks us to do is always for our very best. Just take it one moment at a time, know that you will have failure along the way, but that God is right there pouring out his grace that will equip you and empower you to keep doing what he is calling you to do. May God richly bless you on this journey.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12006191176326988261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15609151.post-63624498852822016692013-08-22T14:12:15.525-04:002013-08-22T14:12:15.525-04:001Cor 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temp...1Cor 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?

Mk 10:27 All thing are possible with God.

I think that baby steps are very important, especially with a lifestyle change. If you change everything at once it is easy to become overwhelmed with all of it, get frustrated and give up. It takes at least 21 days to establish a new habit. Once you feel comfortable with a new routine, such as a workout schedule, then you can make a change in menu or portion size. I'll be praying for you in your commitment for a healthier life.
